Retail: Warehouse Operations
Part Time Retail Warehouse Associate - Houston Astros Baseball Club (Houston, TX)

The Houston Astros are looking for Retail Warehouse Associates to assist in our retail warehouse operations.

POSITION SUMMARY
Assists the Retail Warehouse Manager and other Retail Managers in maintaining inventory and delivering product orders to various outlets, in accordance with Company’s customer service standards and applicable operational standards. This is a part-time, seasonal position that requires days, nights and weekends

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Delivers product throughout the facility, in an efficient and timely manner.
• Stocks product in warehouse; ensures that inventory levels of supplies are maintained
• Reports all needed warehouse repairs to the supervisor.
• Keeps work area and equipment neat and clean.
• Performs other duties as assigned.


NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Cleans warehouse areas as assigned.
• Empties trash containers and delivers trash to appropriate dumpsters if needed.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
• Must be pleasant, courteous with ability to adhere to the Company’s Service Standards
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
• Ability to work cooperatively with others
• Ability to read and interpret delivery forms and transfer orders
• Basic math skills for counting inventory
• Ability to follow job procedures and supervisor instructions


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Ability to lift/move/maneuver up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to pull heavy carts of product throughout facility
• Frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, lifting and reaching, during entire length of shift.

Retail Supervisor - Houston Astros/Washington Nationals- The Ballpark of the Palm Beaches (West Palm Beach, FL)

Title:  Retail Supervisor
Department: Stadium Operations 
Classification: Part-Time, Seasonal, Non-Exempt

Ballpark of the Palm Beaches is the future Spring Training home to the Houston Astros and Washington Nationals.  This two-team location will be a state-of-the-art facility designed for year-round use through Spring Training games, amateur baseball, non-baseball sporting events, community events along with banquets, corporate events, weddings and more.

In this role, you will be an essential part of the game experience and help build memories that last a lifetime.  This position oversees store operations and provides direction to retail associated in accordance with Company’s customer service standards and applicable operational standards.

Essential Duties/Job Requirements:
• Supervises retail associates; completes store operational needs by assigning employees and following up on work results.
• Trains to, and maintains retail standards, policies and procedures.
• Opens and closes retail location as directed by management.
• Assists retail management with the daily cash procedures and operations.
• Monitors store floor, assist with guests needs and requests both on the floor and at the cashier area.
• Regularly evaluates, creates, and maintains professional visual displays; provides direction to retail associates regarding store merchandising and displays.
• Ensures integrity of physical inventory and par levels.
• Maintains cleanliness and safety standards throughout the retail shops.
• Ability to work irregular/extended hours, including nights, weekends and holidays as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
• High school diploma or GED required. 
• Minimum one-year experience in a customer service and/or retail environment preferred.
• Experience managing employees in a customer service and/or retail environment preferred.
• Minimum one-year experience in a customer service and/or retail environment preferred.
• Previous experience in cash handling required.
• Previous experience with operating point-of-sale required.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in fast-paced environment.
• Basic math skills; ability to accurately handle money and count change.
• Professionalism.
• A positive attitude.
• Ability to work independently and as a team member.
• Willingness to aggressively sell assigned items.
• Must be reliable and exhibit commitment to meeting both the work schedule and job requirements.
• Bilingual is a plus.

Physical Requirements of the Job:
• Ability to stand for entire length of shift.
• Ability to perform physical tasks: bend, squat, kneel, twist, climb up/down flights of stairs, walk on uneven ground.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and distance vision.
• Must be able to lift up to 25lbs. on a regular and continuing basis.
• Majority of time spent in indoor, climate-controlled environment of retail store.
• Ability to work in a high activity and heavily crowded outdoor professional sports venue in all weather extremes for extended periods of time.
